To use an IMAP client such as Netscape Mail, set your imap server to mail.scharp.org and check the "Use SSL" box"

Note that internal machines now have new IP addresses and only use scharp.org as their suffixes. So, when using Telnet, you can either type in yourmachine.scharp.org or your machine's 10.6.x.x IP address.

If you are using your own ISP, you can only use ssh (PuTTY or MindTerm) to get into the system.

The simplest method is to use the MindTerm plug-in through your web browser - Launch Java SSH.

Click "Yes" to every question and it will bring up a ssh terminal window to use.

This will open a terminal window that you can use to connect to machines inside the firewall.

You will first be asked for your SecurID password and then when logging in internally, you just put in your internal login info. If your internet connection isn't that fast, though, PuTTY will load faster. You can download Putty from the website above. To get it working, here are the settings:

Double-click putty.exe to start program
Enter Hostname: hivwall.scharp.org (if DNS is not enabled, you can use the IP: 140.107.164.65
to make it easier, type in a name for this session under "Saved Sessions" and click the Save button. One this is done, the next time you get into PuTTY, you can just double-click your Saved Session and it will load.
Click Open to start the connection.
You will be asked for your username and then your SecurID password
Once authenticated on the firewall, you will be asked where you want to connect (brood1 is the default server). Either press [Enter] to accept the default connection or type in the machine name of your choice.
The next login sequence you get will be to the internal network, using your usual password.
